Alcaidesa not only offers excellent golf, but also stunning views of the surrounding area, the outlook is rather spectacular. The golf course is the furthest west in the Costa del Sol.
The course if the only one in Spain that has 18 hole links, it has views of the Rock of Gibralta, The Altas Mountains in Morocco and of the Mediterranean. On clear days, sometimes you can see all three.
The course is undulating, par 71 (5766 metres) follows the coast of the Mediterranean. The 1st – 3rd holes and the 13th hole are all adjacent to the beach.
The greens and fairways are very well kept and looked after. There has been a great deal of work to enhance the course to make it appropriate to allow golfers of all handicaps to play, however, at times it is testing.
The 18th hole at par 4 has an outlook taking in the Rock of Gibraltar, following a path to the club house, where you will find a restaurant and bar who’s terrace has views of the Mediterranean.
The course is par 72, with a slope level of 119 and covers 5975 yards. It should be noted that the course lengths have been confirmed in yards and from the yellow tees. In addition, the rating for the slope level is off the yellow tees.
Alcaidesa Golf Course is 1 hour in the car from Fuengirola and just over half and hour in the car from Puerto Banus.
